This week, I was able to create an instructional video on the fundamental motor skill of sliding for my Overview Physical and Health Education Course (EPHE 312). I creating this video I was able to explore using Photobooth to film and using iMovie to edit the video.
During the process of making and editing this video, I was able to reference a video editing post published by my EdTech course. This post gave reference to importing video clips, trimming video files, creating transitions between clips and adding titles. During the process of creating this video, I conducted all these basic editing competencies and grew my knowledge of the video editing world. In the future I hope to further explore the world of video editing by adding audio fades, music to the introduction and conclusion and further animation techniques.
I can see the value in creating educational videos such as this, especially in the world of online teaching. The pandemic has opened up opportunities for teachers to familiarize themselves even more to the online world and creating educational resources using videos.

Online classes have definitely forced me to work on my video editing skills as well. I felt super uncomfortable about it in the beginning, but I now feel like I have a good grasp on it. Also, I missed seeing this video in our PHE discussions, but I really enjoyed your teaching of this fundamental motor skill!
Awesome video Kate, very cute video partner.
